The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department would like to thank the Kerrville Professional Firefighter Association for sponsoring the 2019 Kerrville Guard Team!
A “Guard Team” is a competitive lifeguard team of four that competes against other teams across the state of Texas. In addition to their regular duties, the team endures rigorous and specialized training to prepare for these competitions. Kerrville Aquatics has a history and tradition of excellence in aquatic emergency management and has won the State Lifeguard Championships for four out of the past five competing years. The city utilizes the Jeff Ellis and Associates International Lifeguard Training Program (E&A).
“Sponsorships are crucial for this program to make. Specifically, sponsorships pay for the direct expenses associated with the team such as travel, lodging, competition fees, training, and uniforms,” said Rosa Ledesma, Parks and Recreation specialist. “This is the second year this organization has sponsored the team, and we greatly appreciate their contribution and continued support.”
It’s not too late to become a sponsor and have your organization/company name associated with some of the best lifeguards in the state of Texas. Individuals can also help donate to the team; no amount is too small. A donation box will also be at the Olympic Pool for those that are interested in donating.
For a sponsorship packet or additional information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (830) 257-7300, e-mail email@example.com, or visit the city’s website at www.kerrvilletx.gov.
