Pedestrian airlifted to San Antonio after getting hit by vehicle in Kerrville

KERRVILLE — Kerrville Fire Department and Kerrville Police Department responded to a call at the corner of Francisco Lemos Street and Water Street in Kerrville just after noon Wednesday of an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

According to PIO Chuck Bocock with the Kerrville Police Department, a vehicle was facing eastbound on Water St. at Franciso Lemos, when it proceeded to make a left turn onto Francisco Lemos.

A pedestrian, who police say had the right of way, was presently crossing the street when the vehicle struck the pedestrian.

The pedestrian suffered an injury to the back of her head and her hip and was airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio.

The driver of the vehicle received a citation for failing to yield to the right of way of the pedestrian., according to officials.

The victim’s name has not been released yet. Kerrville Breaking News will update our readers when more information is available.
